Koalas are a threatened species under both State and Federal legislation and are known to occur across parts of the Central Tablelands region of NSW.  Remnants of Koala habitat are available across the Central Tablelands, however many of these areas are fragmented leaving this species at further risk of predation and road accidents.  Four Councils have partnered to deliver a range of outcomes to assist the Koala population within our region: Koala Fact Sheet

A Koala Field Day event held in Perthville recently was organised by Central Tablelands Local Land Services to raise awareness of Koalas in the region.
