Sustainable Cities is a free educational webinar series from the Department of Planning and Environment. It is designed for planning professionals and members of the public who are interested in how the planning system can support sustainable cities. The series will look at sustainable cities through the lens of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11, Sustainable Cities, from Agenda 2030.
In the first session, we will look at the rationale for Sustainable Cities. Commissioner Roderick Simpson will discuss adaptive planning as a way to respond to change, and Place-based planning to respond to local issues and integrating an interdisciplinary approach.
